Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry level Salesperson to support the DIY business and help drive sales and service objectives.

The role requires basic store systems knowledge, automotive knowledge and part knowledge, with duties spanning customer interactions, in-store service, and inventory management. The position can be part time or full time, with responsibilities including battery installations, wiper installs, stock maintenance, and safe delivery of parts.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, parts catalogs and procedures.
• Basic math to handle transactions and measurements accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
