Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and achieve sales and service objectives. Knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts, and DIY services like battery and wiper installations are valued.

Position can be part time or full time with standard retail hours and safety considerations. Responsibilities include assisting customers in-store and by phone, meeting sales goals, and maintaining inventory accuracy and store conditions.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus) and communicate effectively with customers and peers.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Basic understanding of automotive parts and DIY services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers and phone inquiries.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store achieve its sales targets.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installations and wiper installations.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put-away, cycle counts, and back stock.
