Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is hiring a Salesperson to support the DIY business and achieve sales objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive parts knowledge, and the ability to source from multiple channels.

Primary duties include in-store and phone sales, DIY service, and inventory maintenance. We value basic driving, good communication, and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customers in store visits and calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store meet overall targets.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards and inventories.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
