Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business and meet sales/service objectives. The role requires basic knowledge of store systems, parts knowledge, and the ability to source from stores, hubs, and external suppliers.

The position can be part-time or full-time; fleet safety certification is preferred. You will assist DIY customers in-store and by phone, perform simple services, and help maintain inventory and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Prior experience: 2–3 years of successful sales in a diverse retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help store reach its targets.
• Provide DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.).
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
