Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking an entry-level Salesperson to support the DIY business, learn store systems, and apply basic automotive knowledge to help customers. The role covers part-time or full-time schedules and requires a customer-focused mindset.

You will handle battery testing, wiper installs, and contribute to inventory accuracy, cleanliness, and safety. Prior retail sales experience is valued; strong communication and reliability are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to drive.
• Ability to use the delivery board system.
• Friendly communication and rapport with customers.
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance.
• Operate POS and parts lookup systems.
• Experience with DIY service and basic diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, Back stock, etc.
• Store Cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
