Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Parts Pro to provide expert automotive parts knowledge and exceptional service in our DIY-focused role. You will assist customers in person and by phone, conduct battery tests, wiper installations, and other DIY services, while maintaining store standards and inventory accuracy.

The position requires strong product knowledge, ASE readiness, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Previous parts experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of automotive parts experience.
• Proven sales ability with customer transactions.
• ASE P2 certification preferred, or ASE-ready equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, parts catalogs and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage DIY services including battery installation and testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards.
• Key holder responsibilities like task assignment, safety and open/close duties.
• Assist in store inventory processes including back stock, cycle counts and put-away.
