Job summary

Pinnacle Search’s client in Arizona seeks a VP of Finance (Divisional CFO) to lead accounting and finance for the Southwest operations, partnering with the division and corporate teams. The role emphasizes financial planning, working capital, cost control, and reporting.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in senior finance leadership, preferably in construction or project-based businesses, with CPA/MBA preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
10+ years of increasingly senior finance leadership experience, with background in construction or project-based businesses.
Hands-on experience with construction job costing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition.
Experience preparing and managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial statements and dashboards.

Responsibilities

Lead the performance of the accounting and finance function.
Coach and motivate the divisional accounting and finance team with emphasis on planning and internal communication.
Lead deployment of operating processes and systems within the division.
Integrate accounting/reporting processes for newly acquired branches onto systems and COA.
Improve efficiency and accuracy of transactional processes with field management and leadership.
Manage job costing, revenue recognition, invoicing, and reporting.
Understand profitability and key operational metrics for timely reporting.
Oversee annual audit process for the division and tax returns.
