The American College of Cardiology seeks a Division Vice President, Scientific Publications & Guidelines to lead strategic direction for ACC's journals and guidelines, partnering with the AHA and managing editorial publishing.

You will drive digital-first content, oversee budgets and partnerships (including Elsevier), mentor a high-performing team, and expand multi-channel offerings across print, online, and mobile platforms. Remote work is acknowledged in the role.

Competenze

• 10+ years of progressive publishing experience, including peer reviewed medical or scientific publishing.
• 10+ years of demonstrated leadership and management experience, including budgets and finances.
• Experience with print and digital publishing.
• Experience with successfully launching digital knowledge products.
• Experience with mobile platforms and social media.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.
• Experience building effective teams and building relationships with stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Assume primary P&L responsibility for developing, implementing, and evaluating the Division budget and meeting performance goals.
• Lead a Digital First approach to content creation and distribution across the ACC journals and guidelines.
• Drive strategy for clinical policy, scientific statements and guideline modernization.
• Manage the strategic business partnership with Elsevier, meeting deliverables and financial considerations.
• Cultivate a proactive team culture, empowering staff and cross-functional partners.
• Lead partnerships with data, technology, and AI-enabled platforms to extend reach and value.
• Represent ACC in national and international scholarly publishing communities.
• Monitor changing usage models in medical content dissemination.
• Lead agile product management for digital products and platforms.
• Develop multi-channel offerings (courses, webinars, subscriptions) for customer interests.
• Stay informed on AI and industry trends; ensure excellence across platforms.
• Develop relationships with external stakeholders and leaders, mentor staff, and set clear goals.
• Set and monitor financial performance targets for product lines.
