Job summary

The American College of Cardiology (ACC) seeks an accomplished DVP, Scientific Publications & Guidelines to oversee strategic direction for ACC journals, joint guidelines with AHA, and related editorial products. You will manage the Editorial Publishing Department, steer digital content expansion, and collaborate on clinical policy and partnerships.

Strong leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years in progressive publishing leadership, including medical/scientific publishing.
• Experience managing budgets and finances.
• Experience with print and digital publishing, including launching digital knowledge products.
• Experience with mobile platforms and social media.
• Experience coaching and mentoring staff.
• Ability to influence and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong business acumen and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with innovative partnerships, including AI-enabled platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L for ACC's editorial publishing division and drive budget performance.
• Lead a digital-first content strategy across journals and guidelines.
• Guide clinical policy strategy and modernization efforts.
• Manage the publishing partnership with Elsevier and ensure contract deliverables.
• Foster a proactive, accountable team culture across cross-functional partners.
• Identify and lead strategic partnerships with data, tech, and AI platforms.
