Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Division Vice President, Business Unit Manager to lead the Zygo business unit with full P&L responsibility and a hands-on, growth-oriented approach across geographies.

You will drive strategic planning and execute initiatives aligned with AMETEK’s four-pronged growth strategy, including new product development, market expansion, and acquisitions. You will develop operating plans, manage cost and capital, and influence product development, roadmaps, and customer relations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive management with full P&L responsibility and full cross-functional responsibility including finance, engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, marketing/sales and human resources.
• Bachelor’s degree required, a BSEE or BSME preferred. An MBA is strongly preferred.
• Ideal candidate will have managed a business with revenues of at least $100M with global experience highly preferred.
• Proven track record in multiple functional roles including engineering, operations, sales and/or marketing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing of engineered products.
• Strong strategic planning skills and experience evaluating acquisitions.
• Proven track record of improving operational excellence (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, CI and JIT).
• Hands-on customer relationship experience across applicable markets; ability to interact with customers and discuss products clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop the annual operating plan and meet financial commitments, including revenue, profitability and ROA targets.
• Drive organic revenue growth and growth via M&A activity.
• Develop and execute a robust growth strategy including market expansion and new product development/launch.
• Lead a world-class operating culture and drive performance across the organization.
• Articulate the annual strategic plan and the action plans to execute it.
• Oversee operating performance: sales, profit, working capital, on-time delivery, planning and materials management.
• Improve product development and launch processes with strong product roadmaps and faster cycles.
• Ensure effective product management to drive market expansion.
• Leverage current product portfolio and R&D plans to fuel growth.
• Develop product roadmaps and lifecycle management across production.
• Strategic product management; plan development and lifecycle management.
• Develop an acquisition strategy with solid business cases for opportunities.
