Job summary

Yale Cancer Center in New Haven seeks an experienced manager to oversee administrative operations across Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation. You will supervise a team of administrative staff, manage a $7M budget, and partner with clinical and leadership teams to drive efficiency, patient service, and strategic initiatives.

You will develop financial plans, monitor performance metrics, and ensure compliance with university and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and six years of related technical experience or equivalent.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across levels of an academic medical center.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for financial reporting.
• Experience managing budgets and operational departments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate operational procedures and implement improvements to enhance patient service and efficiency.
• Monitor monthly productivity and financial indicators; report findings and improve reimbursements.
• Ensure compliance with policies, HIPAA and billing standards; manage forecasts and budgets.
• Lead clinical practice operations, training and day-to-day activities; guide staff and leadership.
