Job summary

Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS) seeks a Director of Ambulatory Operations to lead daily ambulatory site operations, optimization projects, and care coordination across hospital-based and community practices in the greater New Haven area.

The role partners with administration, finance and clinical leaders to translate strategic goals into actionable programs, improve patient experience, safety, and access to care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care, business, or a related field is required.
• MBA or MHA is strongly preferred.
• Significant leadership experience in a large-group healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative activities of ambulatory site(s) including major services and exam rooms.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate onboarding and integration of clinicians into ambulatory care.
• Oversee site design/refurbishment, expand/ consolidate locations as needed.
• Develop and maintain policies to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
