Job summary

Green Key Resources partners with a growing specialty contractor to identify an experienced Division Leader for construction and demolition operations across the Mid-Atlantic. This senior role blends operations, PM, estimating, financial oversight, and business development to drive profitability and growth.

The ideal candidate will lead diverse teams, manage project performance, and nurture client relationships while expanding the division’s revenue base.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, demolition, environmental services, heavy civil, or related industry
• Strong experience in construction operations, project management, estimating, or a combination of these areas
• Experience overseeing multiple projects and managing project and field teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop employees
• Strong understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, forecasting, and cost controls
• Proven business development and client relationship skills
• Experience working with general contractors, owners, developers, or other construction industry partners
• Strong financial and operational acumen
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and strong driving record
• General contracting or specialty contracting experience
• Demolition or environmental construction experience
• Experience with projects ranging from approximately $500K to $10M
• Established relationships within the Mid-Atlantic construction market
• Experience with Procore, Xactimate, or similar construction software

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project management, estimating, operations, and field teams
• Oversee multiple construction and demolition projects from preconstruction through completion
• Establish priorities, allocate resources, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
• Monitor project profitability, forecasting, productivity, safety, and overall performance
• Provide leadership on project issues, risk management, and operational challenges
• Review estimates, bids, proposals, and pricing to support profitable project selection
• Develop relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and other industry partners
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Mid-Atlantic market
• Leverage existing industry relationships to generate revenue and expand the division's client base
• Track financial and operational performance and implement improvements when needed
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and business development
• Develop and retain high-performing employees and future leaders
• Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
