Job summary

Amtrak is seeking an Assistant Division Engineer (ADE) for the New York Sub-Division to lead safety, quality, and productivity initiatives on the infrastructure program.

You will supervise an inspection, maintenance, and construction workforce, develop and monitor daily and weekly work plans, manage payroll and time-entry, coordinate with division leadership on capital and operating plans, and ensure compliance with FRA rules, company standards, and safety regulations to keep the network safe

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 7 years of prior relevant experience required.
• Qualified, or capable of qualifying, in MW-1000, NORAC, RWP, AMT-2, and FRA rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety improvements through field oversight of activities and work plans.
• Conduct inspections for assigned craft on-time and in compliance with standards.
• Plan and monitor daily/weekly work plans and manage resources to meet Amtrak standards.
