Job summary

CFS in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a Division Controller to join our growing construction division.

You will partner with senior leadership, manage a team of accountants, oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and cost analysis across projects nationwide while driving process improvements and strategic planning with the CFO/COO and VPs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Construction/industrial services experience preferred.
• Strong mentoring/leadership capabilities and excellent communication.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Function as a strategic partner with senior leadership.
• Manage and develop a team of Accountants.
• Prepare and present financial reports to business leaders.
• Forecasting, financial analysis, including job/project costing and fixed costs.
• Monitor budgets, profit margins, and cash management.
• Improve reporting and analysis processes to support leadership.
• Advise and support CFO, COO, and VPs on financial matters.
• Lead monthly divisional operations and overhead forecast, financial statements, and variance analysis.
• Contribute to systems efficiencies and improvements.
• Assist in annual business plans and division forecasts.

Approximate Base Salary of $120,000 - $170,000 + Bonus, depending on experience

Responsibilities Of The Division Controller

• Function as a strategic partner with senior leadership
• Manage and develop a team of Accountants
• Prepare and present financial reports to business leaders
• Forecasting, financial analysis, profit/margin analysis, job/project costing, fixed costs
• Monitor key metrics of financials - actual to budget, profit margin and cash management
• Improve processes related to reporting and analysis to support Leadership
• Strategic financial partner advising/supporting CFO, COO, and VP's
• Lead the monthly Divisional operations and overhead forecast process, financial statement prep and variance analysis
• Contribute to systems efficiencies and improvements
• Assist in annual business plan and forecasts for the Division

Ideal Experience For The Division Controller Role
