Phillips Academy’s Aquatics Center in Andover, MA is seeking a Dive Coach for a seasonal role from October through May 2027. You will lead learn-to-diving programs, teach techniques, and build diver confidence while prioritizing safety on the boards.

You will plan and run practices for various ages and abilities, provide detailed feedback, and collaborate with staff to develop a path to a competitive team. This role emphasizes punctuality, communication, and a positive, athlete-first culture.

Qualifications

Lead all diving lessons, practices, and dryland training sessions.
Enforce all safety protocols and active supervision during sessions.
Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and aquatics staff.

Responsibilities

Create a positive, safe environment that promotes skill development and love of diving.
Plan and lead practices for a range of ages and abilities with emphasis on fundamentals and safety.
Teach proper diving techniques, introduce new dives, and provide detailed feedback and performance analysis.
Lead all diving lessons, practices, and dryland training sessions.
Maintain and oversee diving equipment to ensure safety and proper working condition.
Attend required staff meetings and trainings and maintain accurate records.
