Job summary

Wood County is seeking a Diversion Program Coordinator to assist the District Attorney’s Office in case management for offenders under pre/post diversion agreements. You will evaluate defendants using risk/needs assessments, monitor progress, and coordinate referrals to community resources, applying restorative justice principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Two years of experience in addiction and/or community corrections preferred.
  • Knowledge of risk/needs assessments like COMPAS and ORAS is preferred.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel between Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks and manages cases to ensure defendants comply with program requirements, deadlines, and case plans.
  • Coordinates intake, assessments, and orientation for new clients; explains program objectives and rules.
  • Maintains communication with the District Attorney’s Office and provides case records upon request.
  • Gathers information for program evaluation, grant reporting, and planning.
  • Performs drug screens as required and maintains client confidentiality.
