Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Diverse Learners Teacher to support students with a range of learning needs. Under the principal's supervision, you will teach, monitor progress, track data, and manage classroom discipline to foster a positive learning environment.

You must hold a valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement and a bachelor's degree or higher, with collaboration across case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to tailor instruction and promote equity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of the CPS online application and teaching profile at cps.edu/teach.
• A valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the role - LBS1

Responsibilities

• Instruct, progress, tracking, and discipline of all students in assigned classes.
• Collaborate with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers to determine instructional and social needs.
• Promote student wellbeing and participate on the multidisciplinary team to support equitable outcomes.
