Job summary

Tomball Independent School District seeks a Computer Technician to provide Tier I support for district technology systems across campuses and district-wide, starting immediately for the 2026-2027 school year.

This role supports design, development, implementation, and maintenance of technology services, with regular updates to supervision and meticulous service logging. A high school diploma or GED is required; tech degree or certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• College degree in technology field preferred.
• A+ certification or other relevant certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills.
• Ability to provide technical support to an assigned campus or location.
• Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining software/hardware technologies.
• Working knowledge of network configurations, topologies, and installation.
• Ability to diagnose and repair enterprise technology equipment.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I support for district technology systems at the campus/department level as well as district wide.
• Assist in the design, development, implementation, and support of technology systems district-wide.
• Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete a written record of every service call.
• Contribute to an accurate inventory of all Technology systems and services in use district wide.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
