Job summary

Pay ranges from $14.14 to $17.33 per hour, based on experience, with 182 days per year. Work hours are 5:00am–2:30pm, and duties may require travel districtwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or progress toward GED as required by Kentucky law.
• One year of cooking and baking experience in large quantities (preferred).
• Ability to perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, bake and serve foods in quantity at an assigned school cafeteria.
• Prepare baked goods such as rolls, biscuits, breads, cakes, cookies.
• Cook meat dishes, vegetables and other main dishes; prepare salads and soups.
• Monitor temperatures and adjust recipes to ensure safety and quality.
