Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to travel across the district, supervise pharmacy teams, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient counseling. The role includes immunizations, inventory control, and supporting pharmacy operations to deliver high-quality patient care.

The DSP will assume Pharmacy Manager duties when on duty and work to improve patient outcomes through clinical care, testing, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety.
• Assist as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts when needed.
• Provide patient counseling and immunizations.
• Assist with safe inventory management and cold chain preservation.
