Job summary

CVS Health is seeking District Support Pharmacists to help ensure safe dispensing, patient counseling and immunization delivery across stores in the district. You will cover pharmacist scheduling gaps, support pharmacy operations under the Pharmacy Manager and District Leader, and travel to stores as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled, overseeing the pharmacy as proxy for the Pharmacy Manager.
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by enforcing workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager's duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
• Coaching the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and resolve insurance or medication issues.
• Offering and delivering immunizations to keep patients healthy and training technicians to immunize.
• Managing pharmacy inventory across stores with focus on cold chain protection.
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs while maintaining a safe, inclusive team.
• Maintaining clinical and technical skills through trainings and CMEs.
• Supporting access to care and pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible.
• Understanding and complying with laws, CVS policies, and protecting patient privacy.
