Job summary

Mustang Cat in Houston, TX is seeking a District Service Manager to lead service operations across our Houston-area branches, driving fleet readiness, uptime, and technician productivity. You will manage service staffing, safety standards, and performance across locations to deliver superior customer support.

This role requires the ability to drive operational excellence, coach technicians, and collaborate with Branch Managers to maximize fleet availability and service quality for our customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of equipment service experience.
• 3+ years of service leadership experience.
• Experience leading technicians and service operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance, repair processes, work order management, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day service operations across multiple branch locations.
• Monitor open work orders, preventive maintenance compliance, and overall fleet readiness.
• Drive technician productivity, labor efficiency, and effective workload management.
• Manage service staffing needs and workforce planning.
• Conduct branch service reviews and evaluate operational performance.
• Monitor unavailable equipment and implement recovery plans to reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with established service processes and safety standards.
• Partner closely with Branch Managers to prioritize repairs and maximize fleet availability.
• Assist with customer escalations requiring technical or service leadership support.
• Support the training, coaching, and development of service supervisors and technicians.
• Identify opportunities to improve service execution, productivity, and equipment turnaround time.
