Job Description

The District Sales Manager (DSM) will support a high-performance sales team of Sales Representatives and Associate Sales Representatives within the district. The DSM acts as a liaison for all key corporate support to ensure the company's near- and long-term profitable sales goals are met. The DSM will collaborate with departments such as Sales Operations, Marketing/Med Ed, and Customer Service. This role ensures appropriate support for current and future surgeons and fosters a positive culture aligned with TMC core values.

This role reports directly to the Regional Vice President, Sales (RVP) and is primarily responsible for achieving the sales budget for the district.

Territory: Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey.

Location: Candidate may be located anywhere within the territory.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve the sales budget for the district and manage activities within the expense budget.
  • Engage and support distributors to build a robust customer pipeline, including attending surgeon webinars and lab sessions.
  • Provide verbal technical assistance during surgeries, including first cases.
  • Assist in hiring, performance management, and conversion of sales reps (1099 to W2).
  • Develop a pipeline of new surgeons and users.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business or related field preferred.
  • At least five years of sales experience in orthopedic medical devices, preferably foot and ankle.
  • Sales coaching and leadership experience, with at least two years leading sales teams preferred.
  • Comfortable working in an OR environment instructing surgeons.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays.
