Job summary

Erie Insurance is seeking candidates for its 24‑week District Sales Manager Trainee program. You will train with seasoned Sales leaders and Independent Agents to build skills in sales management and agency operations. Upon completion, you’ll lead a territory of about 25 Independent Agencies as a DSM.

You must be willing to relocate to a territory and travel frequently. Erie provides relocation support and a company vehicle to support success in this field role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with two years of sales/underwriting/claims/marketing experience, or a HS diploma with four years of such experience.
• Willingness to relocate to other offices.
• Completion of Life and Property/Casualty licensing exams required; willingness to pursue insurance designations (CIC/CPCU preferred).
• Willingness to relocate and travel as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Erie's 24‑week District Sales Manager trainee program and complete projects.
• Train and develop Independent Agents, and manage territory performance.
• Coaching agents to achieve business goals and recruit/train new agents.
• Relocation to designated territory and work as a field sales leader.
