Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a District Sales Manager for the US BioPharma Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Primary Care Team in the Houston area. You will provide leadership to Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists, drive strategic direction, and mentor teams to exceed performance objectives.

The role requires 3+ years in sales leadership within pharma or related fields, a Bachelor's degree, and a valid driver's license. Relocation is not indicated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of demonstrated sales, B2B, or commercial experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare or related fields.
• Proven leadership capabilities and/or people management experience.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists (PSS).
• Develop people and mentor PSSs to support current roles and future growth.
• Act as a role model to foster dedication, trust, teamwork, and motivation across the team.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to identify opportunities and deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead multiple priorities and allocate resources to deliver high efficiency and quality of work.
• Demonstrate strong business ethics and sound decision-making.
