Job description

Remote: This position does not require the employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee’s role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basis. This position requires coverage of territory visits to dealerships with a certain frequency.

The selected candidate will assume territorial responsibility for DMV (DC, Maryland, North VA).

Relocation: This role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

District Sales Manager - Buick and GMC (Washington, DC)

The District Sales Manager (DSM) is responsible for managing and engaging Buick dealers in the territory through visits and direct interaction. This role involves being present at stores, working on various initiatives such as marketing, customer retention, product displays, financial analysis, and training—aimed at ensuring dealer success in selling our products. The role is fast-paced, with each day bringing new challenges. To excel, you should enjoy building relationships and managing your time effectively.

Responsibilities:
  1. Act as a liaison between GM, its dealerships, and other GM partners.
  2. Foster and grow partnerships.
  3. Provide mentorship and consulting to meet monthly and yearly sales goals.
  4. Monitor Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and other feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Assist in product launches, coordinating marketing and advertising efforts.
  6. Ensure dealership personnel training complies with GM standards.
  7. Support dealership inventory management, including vehicle and parts ordering.
  8. Analyze sales data, local markets, and competition to identify revenue opportunities.
  9. Increase sales of GM vehicles and accessories.
  10. Help resolve customer issues.
  11. Travel within your designated region to visit dealerships.
