Job summary

Borden Dairy is seeking a District Sales Leader in Lexington, KY. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily operations of delivery drivers, ensures DOT compliance, and drives route efficiency and training programs.

You will lead a team of Route Sales Representatives, collaborate with the Distribution Manager, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, service, and cost performance across the route network.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of four years of supervisory experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
• Proven leadership ability with experience in training, mentoring, and developing team members.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
• Comfortable working in diverse environments, including hot/cold conditions and refrigerated trucks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and mentor Route Sales Representatives to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
• Support the Distribution Manager in training initiatives, operational efficiency, data analysis, equipment utilization, and route optimization.
• Assist in scheduling and performance evaluation of Route Sales Representatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements using a continuous improvement mindset.
• Enforce all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Foster strong, collaborative relationships with the supply chain leadership team.
• Partner with cross‑functional departments to meet safety, service, cost, and personnel goals.
