Job summary

Mannington Mills, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Field Sales Associate in the Jacksonville, FL area to drive revenue within an assigned territory. You will identify profitable opportunities, understand our product lines and applications, and formulate strategic plans to meet forecasted sales targets.

The role requires 4+ years in sales, strong communication and CRM skills, and the ability to travel daily. You will collaborate with architects, designers and contractors to select appropriate flooring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of sales related experience required
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and CRM experience (Dynamics preferred)
• Industry experience in flooring/interiors preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Commercial flooring experience preferred or related interiors/finishes

Responsibilities

• Continual identification of profitable sales opportunities; maintain responsiveness to customer needs
• Full understanding of the product line and applications it serves
• Formulate a strategic plan to forecast sales revenue in assigned territory
• Carefully use of company property and tools (samples, vehicles, brochures, computers)
• Meet individual sales forecast
• Operate within travel and expense budgets
• Manage expenses within budget and submit reports promptly
• Collaborate with architects, designers, flooring contractors and end users to select products
• Travel daily throughout assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new ones
• Be motivated to work in a close-knit team environment
• Manage customer base through CRM such as Salesforce.com
• Update CRM with customer, project, product and pricing information
• Follow up on leads from Build Central, Material Bank, trade events, networking groups
• Make daily sales calls and network through industry associations/events
• Understand the company’s direction and translate into a territory marketing plan
• Develop proposals using market pricing and purchasing vehicles
• Review daily order entries and ensure shipments meet client requirements
• Develop relationships with flooring contractors, especially commercial
• Prepare regional pricing and special project requests
• Provide samples, technical information and answers to end users
• Develop partnerships with key dealers to secure discretionary business
• Identify and remove barriers to closing
• All other duties as assigned
