Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a District Retail Manager to oversee operations of multiple stores across the district in partnership with Store Managers. You will empower leaders to deliver an exceptional shopping experience and develop teams capable of sustained growth.

You will travel up to 50% of the time, coaching staff, recruiting, and training while managing payroll hours, cash control, store audits, and inventory to drive district sales and superior customer service.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory experience are required.
• Experience with merchandising is required.
• Previous recruiting experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting with/without accommodation.
• Multi-unit retail management experience preferred, especially with hardlines/variety merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of multiple stores in partnership with Store Managers.
• Empower store leaders to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Develop store leaders to sustain growth and leadership within the team.
• Analyze district sales results and trends to increase sales.
• Maintain inventory mix and merchandise presentation to maximize sales.
• Recruit and train new associates in collaboration with Store Managers.
• Foster growth and development of associates into leadership roles.
• Manage payroll hours and ensure accurate timekeeping.
• Ensure cash control and conduct regular store audits.
• Monitor inventory shrinkage and ensure proper controls across district.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional, safe environments.
• Travel up to 50% of the time with occasional overnight stays.
