Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Area Manager to plan and lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area, with full P&L responsibility and in alignment with company objectives.

You will drive area sales growth, ensure efficient inventory presentation and management, recruit and develop staff, and protect assets through loss prevention. Weekly travel in a company vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of retail management experience with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Big-box retail management or equivalent education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of all stores within the assigned area with full P&L responsibility.
• Drive area sales growth to meet or exceed targets.
• Ensure effective inventory presentation and management.
• Plan and execute company objectives; optimize scheduling and staffing.
• Recruit, develop, and educate store staff to meet company standards.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention and cost control.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the operational area.
• Communicate divisional and regional priorities to store teams.
