Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a District Manager to oversee the profit and loss of the assigned district, ensuring adherence to Company objectives and policies. The role requires leading multi-store operations, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualification includes 4+ years in retail management with full P&L responsibility; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position involves weekly travel and development of Store Managers to meet company targets.

Qualifications

• Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations with full P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• “Big-box” retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profit and loss for the district and align with Company objectives.
• Drive annual sales growth through excellent operations and efficient flow processes.
• Ensure superior customer service and visually engaging stores.
• Develop Store Managers through proactive recruitment, selection and training.
• Protect Company assets through loss prevention and expense efficiencies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within operational areas.
