Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a District Manager to oversee the daily operations of the assigned residential property portfolio.

The role may involve serving as the corporate broker of record in major markets, and will mentor, train, and support the local district team to drive profitability and align with company goals. You will coordinate across Property Operations, Leasing, New Development, and other functions to execute the district's strategic vision, analyze

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business management or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years in a general management role with 8+ direct reports.
• At least five years in an operational or related role.
• State Real Estate License within 60 days of start date.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication, planning and budgeting skills.
• Leadership, relationship management, negotiation and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned district and drive portfolio profitability.
• Analyze assets for quality, marketability and performance; advise on acquisitions or dispositions.
• Mentor, train and coach the district team; provide feedback for development.
• Manage rent collection, leasing activities, maintenance, and HOA compliance.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to execute the district's strategic vision.
