Job summary

AMH in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Senior Resident Manager to lead resident relations and day-to-day operations of single-family rental homes across a district. You will ensure execution of operational strategy, oversee Resident Managers, and drive profitability through efficient property management and budgeting.

You will monitor collections, reduce delinquencies, and coordinate with partners to resolve escalated issues while supporting staff development and hiring decisions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of related operational experience.
• Minimum three years of experience in a management role.
• Real Estate License and state permits required.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with property management software is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for resident relations within the District and oversees day-to-day operations.
• Drives collection and retention strategies to reduce delinquency and maximize lease renewals.
• Oversees team activities, provides training and coaching to employees.
• Participates in talent selection, reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and contributing to hiring decisions.
• Manages move-out reconciliation and security deposit handling per state laws.
• Supports profitability targets by reducing repair, maintenance, and turn-related expenses.
