Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover scheduling gaps across our stores within the district. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, travel to pharmacies, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.

You will also immunize, coach technicians, and manage inventory while staying compliant with laws and CVS policies. This part-time role requires flexibility and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing and immunizing practices.
• Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled.
• Support pharmacy operations as proxy for Pharmacy Manager during shifts.
• Ensure accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow and safety guardrails.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate patient care and resolve insurance issues.
• Offer immunizations and supervise Pharmacy Technicians in immunization delivery.
• Help manage inventory, with emphasis on cold chain protection.
• Maintain scheduling flexibility to support business needs and safety.
• Keep clinical and technical knowledge up to date with evolving practices.
• Support access to care and pharmacist services where permissible.
