Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to support stores across the district, travel as needed, and cover pharmacist shifts. The role involves managing pharmacy operations, ensuring safe dispensing, immunizations, and exceptional patient service.

The position requires an active state pharmacist license, an active NPI, and compliance with DEA exclusions. Regular travel within the district and occasional weekend coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Travel within the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; oversee pharmacy operations as proxy for Pharmacy Manager.
• Support safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Act as Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day when covering as pharmacist-on-duty.
• Foster positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the team to do the same.
• Proactively offering and delivering immunizations and supporting pharmacy technicians to learn to immunize.
