Job summary

CVS Health is recruiting a District Support Pharmacist to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support store teams. You will oversee pharmacy operations, ensure safe dispensing, counsel patients, and immunize when permissible, traveling across the district as needed.

The role emphasizes patient care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager and district leadership to maintain high service levels and access to care for our patients.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC).
• Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails that protect patient safety.
• Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the on-duty pharmacist.
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the pharmacy team to do the same.
