Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to help cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores within the district. You will supervise operations, ensure safe dispensing, and coach staff while maintaining high patient care standards.

The role requires an active pharmacist license, an active NPI, and the ability to travel. A strong emphasis is placed on patient safety, accuracy, and collaborative care within CVS Health’s values and policies.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Work as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts when needed.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Provide clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible, e.g., COVID/Flu vaccines where allowed.
• Comply with federal and state laws, CVS Health policies, and ensure patient safety and privacy.
