Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across the district. You will act as a Pharmacy Manager proxy when needed and help ensure safe dispensing and patient care in CVS stores.

Responsibilities include immunization delivery, patient counseling, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to resolve insurance and medication issues while maintaining inventory control. Travel within district required.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Support pharmacy team and act as Pharmacy Manager proxy during bench shifts.
• Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Provide patient care with empathy and coach the team to resolve insurance and/or medication issues.
• Offer and administer immunizations where permissible and support technicians to immunize.
• Manage pharmacy inventory with focus on cold chain protection.
