Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist (DSP) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores in the district. You will act as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts and help ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.

This part-time position (20 hours weekly) requires an active pharmacist license in the relevant state, willingness to travel, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to compassionate, compliant service for every patient.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety.
• Customer service and team orientation: assist people in a friendly manner and support the pharmacy team.
• Communication skills: interact with patients and colleagues effectively and listen actively.
• Mathematical reasoning: determine totals, days supply and bottle counts to fulfill prescriptions.
• Problem resolution: handle patient or colleague interactions by choosing the best action.
