Job summary

CVS Health is expanding the District Support Pharmacist role to cover staffing across stores within the district. You will ensure safe dispensing, counseling and immunization services while traveling to cover shifts and supporting the Pharmacy Manager.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient health through safe dispensing, counseling and immunizing practices.
• Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
• Assume Pharmacy Manager’s duties when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate care and collaborate with the patient’s healthcare team.
• Deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy and support staff learning to immunize.
• Support inventory management with focus on protecting cold chain products.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while maintaining a safe, inclusive team dynamic.
• Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills via required trainings and CME opportunities.
• Support pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible (testing, prescribing) to improve patient outcomes.
• Comply with federal/state laws and CVS policies to protect patient privacy and safety.
