Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores in the district. You will help manage the pharmacy team, ensure safe dispensing and counseling, and act as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts as needed.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, adherence to policies, and collaboration with the healthcare team to resolve insurance and medication issues while maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled.
• Support pharmacy teams and oversee daily operations as needed.
• Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and counseling per workflow procedures.
• Serve as Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts when required.
• Contribute to patient care by addressing insurance and medication issues and improving patient experiences.
