Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to help manage pharmacy operations across stores within a district. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, cover scheduling gaps, and ensure safe, efficient dispensing and patient care.

Travel within the district is required, with duties including immunizations, counseling, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to maintain patient safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) is required.
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support district staffing.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required trainings within the designated timeframe.
• Assist with pharmacy scheduling and operation as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy when needed.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and adherence to workflow procedures.
• Provide patient-centric care including counseling and immunizations where permissible.
• Supervise and coach pharmacy staff to deliver compassionate care.
• Maintain inventory control with focus on cold chain protection.
• Engage with the patient’s healthcare team to optimize outcomes.
