Job summary

CVS Health is seeking District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) to cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and support pharmacy teams across stores in the district. You will help manage patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and vaccination services while acting as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager when needed.

Travel within the district is required to support market staffing, and you will work to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment and patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require.
• Cover pharmacist scheduling gaps and supervise pharmacy staff as needed.
• Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following pharmacy procedures and safety guardrails.
• Act as Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts when needed.
• Coach the pharmacy team to deliver compassionate patient care and resolve insurance/medication issues.
• Deliver immunizations and support technicians in immunization training.
• Manage inventory with focus on cold chain protection and proper stocking.
