Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to cover scheduling gaps and support store pharmacies across the district. As a part-time DSP, you will travel within the district, oversee pharmacy operations, and act as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy when needed, ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes team coaching, immunization delivery, and collaboration with the patient care team to resolve insurance and drug issues.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located.
• Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing.
• Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the DPC; overseeing the pharmacy and serving as proxy for the Pharmacy Manager.
• Supporting safe prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation.
• Assuming Pharmacy Manager's duties when serving as the primary pharmacist on duty.
• Coaching the pharmacy team to resolve insurance and medication issues with empathy for patients.
