Job summary

Kennedale ISD is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to manage district payroll, benefits, and related reporting. This full-time role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills to support staff and district operations.

Responsibilities include auditing time sheets, processing wages, deductions, and deposits, maintaining payroll records, and handling workers' compensation and COBRA matters. Immediate start date with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Two years payroll accounting experience
• Proficiency with payroll software and district reporting systems
• Knowledge of benefits programs and COBRA administration
• Ability to maintain accurate auditable records
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare district payroll for employees following procedures
• Audit time sheets; calculate wages, withholdings and net pay
• Balance earnings and deductions; process transfers and deposits
• Maintain payroll registers and employee payroll information
• Post payroll changes including deductions and benefits changes
• Maintain time clock and substitute placement records
• Compile and file payroll reports and related documents
• Process liabilities including taxes and TRS deposits
• Handle workers' compensation claims and communicate with carriers
• Assist with COBRA notices and premium collection
• Support new hires, terminations, and benefit enrollments
• Respond to verification requests; protect confidentiality
