Job summary

Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Democratic Caucus, seeks a Constituent Services and Communications Advisor to deliver administrative and governmental services for constituents and manage press outreach. The role reports to the District Office Director and works closely with the Legislative Communications Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use standard social media platforms on desktop and mobile.
• Canva or basic design software experience a plus.
• Ability to recognize Member's speaking style and tailor materials accordingly.
• Ability to tailor messaging for different outreach platforms.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines and produce timely multimedia content.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• One year related experience may substitute for certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and governmental services for constituents.
• Serve as press liaison and coordinate with Legislative Communications Office to maximize press coverage.
• Coordinate with staff to prepare for public events and manage event logistics.
• Write first drafts of speeches, news releases, social posts and emails; coordinate editing and distribution.
• Post district-based social media content and monitor inquiries.
• Maintain relationships with local media and organizations for event calendars and outreach.
• Create district graphics from caucus tools for district use.
• Participate in caucus training on writing, social media, and media content.
