Job summary

Canteen North America is seeking a District Operations Manager to oversee Micro Markets, Vending, and Coffee Service locations across a district. You will partner with the District GM to drive profitability, service excellence, and employee development in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong multi-site leadership, financial acumen, and a customer-focused mindset to balance operations with budgets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive operations management experience in vending, micro markets, office coffee service, or related industries.
• Experience leading multiple locations or managing through supervisors and frontline leaders.
• Strong financial acumen with budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience with customer-facing operations and service-focused environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Union or labor relations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across multiple Micro Market, Vending, and Coffee Service locations within the district.
• Drive operational excellence by improving productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor district and branch performance, ensuring financial results align with company objectives and budget expectations.
• Analyze operational metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and account retention.
• Partner with local leadership teams to develop action plans and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, food safety requirements, and operational procedures.
• Support new account installations, market openings, equipment deployments, and service transitions.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support customer retention, account growth, and new business opportunities.
• Coach and develop Customer Service Managers and operational leaders to strengthen performance and leadership capabilities.
• Assist with workforce planning, staffing, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Support labor relations activities and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
• Serve as a key liaison between field operations, customers, and district leadership.
