Job summary

The Gardner School is seeking a District Support Director to provide district-level operational and leadership support across multiple campuses in Massachusetts. Reporting to the District Manager, you will help ensure strong execution, consistent standards, and a high-quality experience for children, families, and staff.

You will partner with Executive School Directors and district leaders to cover leadership gaps, support enrollment priorities, and advance district initiatives while preparing

Qualifications

• MA EEC requirements to be Director II qualified (at hire)
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, business, or related field preferred
• Previous leadership experience in an early childhood environment required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel regularly between schools within the district

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership coverage and operational support across district schools.
• Support schools during leadership transitions, leaves, staffing gaps, enrollment growth, onboarding periods, or other operational needs.
• Partner with Executive School Directors to support day-to-day operations and ensure alignment with standards.
• Help ensure consistency in operational execution and family experience across district schools.
• Support staffing coordination and classroom coverage as needed.
• Identify operational gaps and follow through on action items and priorities.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts EEC licensing and safety standards.
• Assist with enrollment activities and district/school financial priorities.
• Support scheduling, ratio management, and daily operational organization.
• Provide leadership support during high-volume periods and special projects.
