Job summary

The Gardner School is seeking a District Support Director to provide operational and leadership support across district schools in Massachusetts. Reporting to the District Manager, this role drives consistent execution, strong school leadership, and a high-quality experience for children, families, and team members.

The position may involve leadership transitions, staffing gaps, enrollment growth, and special district initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must meet Massachusetts DOE EEC Director II requirements at time of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, business, or related field preferred.
• Previous leadership experience in an early childhood education environment required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities; adaptable to changing operational and school needs.
• Ability to travel regularly between schools within the district.

Responsibilities

• Provide district-wide leadership coverage and operational support across district schools.
• Support schools during leadership transitions, leaves, staffing gaps, enrollment growth, onboarding periods, or other operational needs.
• Partner with Executive School Directors to support day-to-day operations and align with Gardner School standards.
• Help ensure consistency in operational execution, family experience, and leadership practices across district schools.
• Assist with budgeting, staffing coordination, and enrollment priorities.
• Travel between district schools to support operations and leadership development.
